The new SimpleSet wireless programming technology by Philips, makes programing of LED drivers fast, secure and easy.
According to the blog post by Al Marble, Director – Product Management, LED Systems, the SimpleSet technology will be introduced next month on the next set of industry standard PHILIPS ADVANCE XITANIUM LED DRIVERS: Xitanium 40W and 75W models.
“SimpleSet will specifically allow fast and easy programming of drive current by OEMs. An inexpensive programming device (it’s basically an antenna) will be available to connect into manufacturing systems and the programming tool. There is nothing proprietary about the programming device itself, and OEMs can easily incorporate the hardware and concept into their process as they see fit,” writes Marble.
“It is simple and it is real. This is how programming will be done in the industry going forward. The PHILIPS Advance Xitanium Linear Drivers are the first to incorporate SimpleSet since OEMs are demanding an easy way to set drive currents. They need the flexibility. Drivers for more applications – such as down-lighting and outdoor – will also start to use SimpleSet in the near future.”
You simply take the driver out of the box, locate the designated communication area on the driver 2, touch the LED driver to the programming device, which will then provide you with a programming confirmation on the monitor, and install the driver on into the fixture.
