“While incandescent hand lamps can generate enough heat to burn operators that bump the light, the LED explosion proof hand lamps generally don’t get above the ambient temperature of the area. The solid state electronics make the LED light vibration resistant and the 50,000 life hour rating enables operators to avoid re-lamping for more than 5 years,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larsonelectronics.com in a news release.

The hand lamp is water and vapours proof and produces 1,050 lumens of light with an operating temperature of only 55°.

The lamp is resistant to damage from impacts and dropping and has a rubberised, insulated handle that allows for a safe and secure grip. The stainless steel wire guard enclosure protects the glass dome.

Available with an optional red, blue, green, amber, or white coloured LED bulb, the lamp can be operated on 120-277 volts AC, as well as 9-32 volts DC.

The 25’ long cable ends in a standard straight blade 5-15 plug on 120/240 volt models and the 220/240 volt models are equipped with an L6-20 plug. The 9/32 volt versions are not equipped with a plug.
