LED lighting leader Ephesus Lighting has partnered with Qualite Sports Lighting to install High Performance LED Stadium Lights for the 2015 Super Bowl Game at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ.
According to the press release, 312 LED stadium fixtures were installed in the University of Phoenix Stadium which is owned by the Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority (AZSTA) and operated by Global Spectrum.
The LEDS will replace over 780 metal halide fixtures; they have a 10-year warranty and will use only 310,000 watts of energy. With the new system, the stadium will see a 75% reduction in overall energy consumption.
“We are honoured to partner with Ephesus, a leader in the LED Lighting Industry, as they are at the forefront of technology by providing energy efficient technologies. Both Ephesus and Qualite worked diligently and precisely to ensure the sports lighting solution installed at the University of Phoenix Stadium exceeded all expectations with new LED technology,” said Nick Page, President of Qualite Sports Lighting.
“Fantastic! The lights are fantastic on a variety of levels. These lights are rated for super slow-motion, so the clarity and the level of light and the type of light is phenomenal,” said Peter Sullivan, Regional Vice President and General Manager of the University of Phoenix Stadium.
The new generation of LED technology is a real game changer in the world of sports lighting. It not only delivers more and better quality light (fully HDTV compliant), it costs less to purchase, install, run and maintain.
