Musco Lighting installs LEDs at Detroit Pistons’ arena

Musco Lighting has announced that it has installed its state-of-the-art lighting system at The Palace of Auburn Hills – home to the NBA’s Detroit Pistons.

The new system will reduce energy consumption by 77%. No maintenance is required and the lights come with Musco’s comprehensive 10-year warranty, backed by a team of trained technicians.

“We’ve installed our innovative lighting solution using the LED light source at premier facilities around the world, each custom designed to meet the unique needs of players, spectators and television broadcasts,” said Jeff Rogers, Vice President of Developmental Sales, Musco Lighting, in a news release.

“We’ve optimised our system around the LED light source at The Palace to provide an aesthetically pleasing environment that minimises glare in the eyes of players and fans.”

Musco’s advanced optics with pinpoint lighting control reduce glare, thus allowing for the highest quality light for HD broadcasts.

The system also provides a theatre-like experience for spectators in the arena.
