iDevices introduces Socket that transforms regular lights into connected lights

By using the free iDevices Connected app, consumers will be able to take advantage of Socket’s dimming functionality and customisable colour light ring to set the perfect ambiance to fit any moment. In addition, this compact and discrete device also features Siri® voice commands, enabling users to control power and brightness to their desired levels.

According to the press release on the Business Wire, Socket is the latest evolution in iDevices’ line of connected home products, designed to give users a simple way to customise their home and enhance everyday life.

The iDevices Socket possesses dimming capability and fits conventional receptacle, making it easy to transform any lamp into a connected lamp. It is also compatible with standard Edison style bulbs (up to 60 watts), allowing consumers to use pre-existing bulbs in their home.

The device is simple to set up, can be accessed from anywhere via the iDevices IoT Cloud Infrastructure and allows users to create custom schedules and scenes to fit their lifestyle.
