The Edison Awards, conducted by the charitable organisation Edison Universe, are a worldwide acclaimed program that recognises inventiveness, innovation, creativity and ingenuity in the global economy.

Lighting Science has been named a 2017 Award Finalist in two categories, The L-Bar for Energy and Sustainability-Energy Efficiency and the Genesis DynaSpectrum for Consumer Electronics & Information Technology-Healthy Lighting.

“We’re deeply gratified to be recognised by the Edison Awards committee for our longstanding commitment to innovation and sustainability,” said Lighting Science CEO Ed Bednarcik.

Judged by over 3,000 senior business executives and academics from all over the country, this year’s awards will be held on April 20th at the Edison Awards Annual Gala, in the Ballroom of the Capitale in New York City.

“It’s exciting to see companies like Lighting Science continuing Thomas Edison’s legacy of challenging conventional thinking,” said Frank Bonafilia, Edison Awards’ executive director.
